boulder overlap

Won't Fix

I have recently reinstalled SE and hosted a dedicated server.

Myself and a friend has encountered this issue where the boulder reports a resource but when you mine, it changes resource and the outer mesh doesn't deform and you can actually clip into it.

Found this video https://youtu.be/iGJfu-HLTlk in this thread https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/pc/topic/drill-not-drilling

and that is exactly what happens to me in the video.

Thanx

Hello, Metalcheff91,

thanks for letting us know about this issue.

However, I seems not to be able to reproduce this issue. Can you please elaborate, share more information?

Does it happen in only one world that you are playing on, or do you experience it on multiple saves/games? Only on one specific place, or on multiple places, instances, boulders you are finding on the world?

Are you playing on vanilla (without mods) game, or are you using some mods? If you are, or you are playing od modded planet, it´s possible to happed due to mods, really. So if you are, it would be great if you can try the same on un-modded world.

If you are playing on game without mods, can you please share me save file where this issue can be observed? It would be also great if this world would contain GPS markers on said spot(s) so I can find it easily.

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Or if you are playing on dedicated server, follow the same path to Roaming\SpaceEngineersDedicated\Saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

I seem to have fixed it somehow. My previous save was modded and even after I removed the mods and created a new world but the problem persisted. So I deleted the data on the dedicated server and all worlds as well as my SE data on my client PC.

Seem to be fixed. I used this only mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=219757726

but will experiment and see if I can reproduce.

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards
