1.200.030 Welding Projected Blocks with hand welder on Keen NA#2 causes connection problem and decon

Engi shared this bug 2 years ago
Won't Fix

Not sure if it is other servers but when I announced it in chat, another player said he had the same issue. Turned on projector that already had a blueprint loaded and tried to weld up a block, got connection problem red text and game paused text and then unloading world. Game did not crash, it reconnected automatically. This has happened 3 times today. Docked to a station in a zone, undocked in a zone and out in space no where near anything.

When I relogged in, the block was welded so it must have finished welding before I deconned.

Not sure if it is related but I had another thing happen but only once right before it. Tried to weld a block with the projection but nothing happened. So I tried another block and then I heard the block place sound but it did not place in front of me, it placed like 5 blocks away and 1 block over in a seemingly random direction. I then tried to weld another block and it welded a different block in its place, the block it welded was the block that was there before in the previous version of that same blueprint, but the holo image was of the new block. I then removed the blueprint and reloaded it and it fixed the issues but then the decon started happening and has been happening ever since.

This only happens when you first turn the projection on and try to weld a block. Once it decons and reconnects, it no longer happens until you turn the projector off and on again, then the first blocks decons you again.

Now after the decon, the projection is not visible and if you turn it off and on again to get it to show up, it decons again, so I can't weld projections by hand any more.

Hello, Engi,

thanks for letting us know.

Are you still experiencing this issue on you end on v201.013?

I´m totally able to perform actions that you are mentioning without any issues - having the BP in Off projector. Turn the projector On and weld the blocks on the projected BP. No connecting issues on my end.

Is is possible that you are trying to weld some specific blocks on the blueprint? Or does that happen even with e.g. just armor blocks? Are the provided steps true in 100% of cases? Or it happens just from time to time?

Is this happening only on server, or did you try it in other game modes as well (Lobby, DS)?

Any more information you can provide would help! Can you please also make and share me blueprint of your exact build/grid that you have the projector on and the one that you are projecting? Also having a video of this issue happening would be great, so I can see what are you doing exactly and how does the issue look once it happens.

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards

Hello, Engi,

hah, thanks for letting us know! Will switch it back no Need more info.

Can you provide me a BP and video of this issue happening? Or save file, if you would be able to reproduce it in Lobby/DS as well?

I'm still not able to reproduce it on my end. So a proof of this issue, as well as a video showing the issue would help greatly!

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards
