Subgrids taking damage with "Enable sub-grid damage" off

Isaac Clancy shared this bug 3 years ago
Reported

Subgrids sometimes take damage when pressing into each other. The most reliably way to cause damage I could find was to push a row of pistons into another row of pistons with very large forces. I have attached a zip file of a world folder with the bug. Examine the pistons and piston heads with your welder, They should be undamaged. Press to red button to reverse the pistons into each other. Then examine the pistons and piston heads again and they should be damaged. You might have to reverse the pistons a few times to cause damage as its a bit random.

This doesn't seem to be from "safety detach" as when the pistons don't explode their damaged heads are still attached. I also tried with the "safety detach" distance set to NaN (through blueprint editing) and the problem still persisted.

Hello, Issac!

Thank you very much for the world and reproduction steps :) I have successfully reproduced the issue and reported it internally.

Kind Regards
