Gyroscope using power when off

Isaac Clancy shared this bug 2 years ago
Reported

When a programmable block is used to connect a ship to a station (using a connector) and turn off a gyroscope, the gyroscope continues to use power. This only happens if it is a ship connecting to a station and not two ships or two station. It also requires that the programmable block connects the connector and turns of the gyroscope when updating itself and isn't run manually (or from a hotbar) or that it connectors the connector when run manually (or from a hotbar) and turns of the gyroscope when it next updates itself. If the programmable block connects the connector and turns off the gyroscope when run manually (or from a hotbar) there is no power usage bug.

The bug happens in creative and survival.

I have attached a zip of a world folder with grids that can be used to reproduce the bug. The grids start with the gyroscope on and the battery shows 10.6 kW pressing the red button will result in the gyroscope being off while the battery still shows 10.6 kW. Turning the gyroscope on and then off will result in the power usage dropping to 0.6 kW.

I tested with a survival kit instead of a gyroscope and there didn't seem to be any bug.
