Sensor not correctly detecting planet voxels

ZarHakkar shared this bug 2 years ago
Won't Fix

Attached is a video file of a small grid rover moving up and down a ramp on a moon in the Never Surrender scenario.

A sensor set to detect only asteroids (terrain voxels) is on the underside of the rover, with a detection range of 1.5 meters from the face of the sensor.

Despite this, the sensor triggers at a point about 12 meters off the ground, as seen by the blue light hooked up to it.

Hello, ZarHakkar!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. I have not been able to replicate this issue in my own save file. Could you please supply a save file where you experience this? Are you using any mods at all? Could you please make sure that there are no mods in the file? :)

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Kind Regards

we are closing this thread as outdated. In case anyone is encountering the same or similar bug, which is not already posted in a different thread, please feel free to create a new thread with all relevant information.

Thank you.
