Voxels added with voxel hand flicker continuously

Rdcl shared this bug 2 years ago
Won't Fix

I started an offline survival world but due to having excavated a tunnel a little too wide I wanted to add back the material and dig back that section to make it uniform, so I added back a few squares of rock using voxel hands. I immediately noticed there was something wrong: the texture on the newly added voxels flickers continuously. The effect looks a bit like the voxel has been added twice and it's struggling over and over to decide which one to show. It's really annoying. I dug the surface of the voxel but the effect seems to persist until I dig out every single piece of it.

I updated my graphic cards driver, fiddled with graphic settings (all of them, plus enabled and disabled Vsync) and checked again the NVDIA settings for the game to no avail.

I attached the session log (reloaded multiple times, tried a save with mods and one in which I removed them all)

Here is a video of the problem

Hello, Rdcl,

thanks for letting us know and we are sorry that you are experiencing this issue.

Unfortunately I´m not experiencing this issue when following your text and creating more voxel on already digged place.

Are you experiencing this behaviour on just this one world, or on multiple worlds?

Can you please send me save file of the world that is suffering with this issue? That would definitelly help.

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards
