Custom Turret Controller Causes Crosshair to disappear

When entering custom turret controller while seated in any seat, the crosshair disappears. If the turret is entered via remote access while not seated the crosshair stays as it should

I have the same bug
Just to confirm that you lose the crosshair with any seat/cockpit/control system; only controlling using your suit antenna keeps the crosshair in place - even added a Remote to the custom turret grid, but doesn't change anything. (It was a long shot...)
