[1.200.025] Enabling thrusters disables all thrusters temporarily

Menos Wansis shared this bug 2 years ago
Won't Fix

In my ships I usually put the backwards thrusters on a separate group, so I can "glide" with the ship. This was working fine on all my ships until the 1.200 update. Now when I enable the breaks, all thrusters are immediately disabled completely and the ship is in free-fall. As soon as I give any steering command, all thrusters immediately remember that they are actually active and the ship continues to fly normally.

Not all of my ships are affected, but those that are have this bug constantly. The issue is tied to the ship, so other players controling that ship have the same issue if it appears. This makes playing the game very frustrating, as you have to constantly re-enable the thrusters the moment I enable the breaks, or you crash.

To make sure this is a bug I set those thrusters to just "enable", and as soon as I hit that button all thrusters stop working.

A server restart will fix that bug on a particular ship, but it can happen on the next ship built again.

Hello, Menos!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Can you please either provide an un-modded save file or, provide a blueprint that I can test that will reliably have this issue?

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
  • You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.

Please provide any further information that can assist with the reproduction of this bug.

Kind Regards

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards
