[1.200] Unable to scroll through interior blocks if you dont own Heavy Industry DLC

HelloGoodbye shared this bug 2 years ago
Solved

There is a group of blocks starting with the Cylindrical Column block that contains interior walls and cover. If this is added to the toolbar, it should allow you to scroll through the blocks that you own, which from the base game includes the Interior wall, interior pillar, cover walls and half cover walls.

For anyone who doesnt own the Heavy Industry DLC, the pillar block is not available. Therefore when trying to access the Cylindrical Column block to scroll through, the error message "Requires Heavy Industry DLC" appears and does not allow the scroll through functionality.

While blocking access to the Column is functioning correctly, blocking access to the base game blocks is not.

This is applicable to all block groups "locked" behind any single un-owned DLC

I suggest displaying the error and defaulting to the first available block.

Alternatively change the default block to the interior block or another base game default.

Current workaround is to fit the 4 to 8 other blocks on another hotbar, although this gets messy very fast as there are quite a few DLC blocks locked behind other DLC blocks. For any permutation of owned DLC there are a large number of problematic groups

Thank you for the response!

Just to clarify/confirm, I realized after posting that there were a variety of these groups which contained blocks from one DLC that was locked behind another DLC.

More examples:

- The Decorative block lockers are now locked behind the Warfare I gunrack.

- The Sci-fi Bars and Decorative 2 cargo boxes are locked behind Decorative planters.

- The Decorative 2 Dispenser is locked behind the Economy ATM

There are a lot of blocks in SE, and I like that these Groups help me organize my toolbar pretty nicely with even some space to spare.

This issue really annoys me too.
