Turret controller cannot handle turret being 'parent'

Solved

The AI cannot understand that having the rotor on the turret and the rotor head on the ship results in the rotor direction being inverted, and there is no way for me to tell it (a simple checkbox would be fine).

Steps to reproduce: Load up the SBC linked below and have it try to shoot at something.

Because your attach doesn't take SBC:

Context: I've been trying to get automated turret construction set up, and it can be considerably simplified if the azimuth rotor and hinge are both on the same grid (at least in theory). The mounting drone is in charge of the rotor, so has the option to attach. If it just has the rotor head then I need to get out and get into the other grid to attach, and if it is misplaced need to go back and forth till it is correctly placed. It was also my attempt at a workaround for another bug. It was also my attempt at a workaround for the config loss bug.

Hello, A G Systems,

thanks for letting us know and for providing working blueprint.

Issue was successfully reproduced and put into our internal system.

Agreed with the easier to attach everything from the "middle" part. Placing the rotor upside-down can also work out better with the collision meshes. The tank blueprint in the attachment is an example. Good to hear that it's being worked on.
