SE .NET out of date on Linux

John Smith shared this bug 2 years ago
Won't Fix

Hello,

When I start space engineers on my computer I get an error that tells me to update .NET. This issue only started last week and other users have had the same issue see [ https://www.protondb.com/app/244850 ]. I've been playing for over a year now and this is the first time I'm having issues. The fixer script on Github and the command suggested for protontools do not fix this issue as seen on protondb. I'm on Arch Linux and the latest version of everything else. I have already tested most of the versions of proton with the tools. I look forward to playing again.

Regards,

John Smith

Hello, John!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Unfortunately after speaking internally as Linux is not supported by us this is not something we would fix. I apologise that this is not better news for you in this instance.

Kind Regards

Laura, QA Department

Could you at least ask around to see if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this. .NET somehow needs to be updated and I really want to get back to playing.
