Unrealistic physics of Thrusters

I made a big platform 50x50x1 blocks size and put 2 Big atmospheric Thrusters on it (big structure not small). Then, i use ctrl+x to delete it. then i pres Ctrl+C and paste it underground, i can't see any thrusters on ground. After all that i used drill to delete some ground on thrusters. i place cocpit and turn on Thruster. OMG ground is inside it and it is working normally. Why??
