I have same problem.
First i could not end the game properly, it kept running. I had to stop steam and then game stopped and after restarting steam i could start the game again.
Now if i do that the game freezes when starting again, so i cannot play anymore. So this is really bad.
It all started with updating the game while i was buying all dlcs for the game, the last i bought and installed was the frostbyte dlc. My windows and all drivers for my RTX 2080 are uptodate and i installed the invidia experience software for making videos and some video editing software.
