[1.187] Piston's can't be retracted

As of the latest update, pistons sometimes can't be retracted anymore. Here's a video which clearly shows the issue (it was working before the patch):
You can see that extending works fine, while retracting doesn't do anything - it's not a weight issue (or at least shouldn't be) since the pistons were able to retract the drills even when they were full before the patch.
I could reproduce this bug with the shown vehicle 4/4 times. There was no difference in behaviour between server and Single Player (using the same save).
Copying and pasting the grid would resolve the issue once (but the same problem will reoccur shortly after).
