[1.187.101] Laser Antenna not Holding a Connection on DS

Aleliabro shared this bug 6 years ago
Won't Fix

I have 2 laser antennas that can connect to each other but they just go from 'Connected' to 'Trying to establish a connection' constantly. Cant see the other grid that's 300km away. When i reconnected to the DS once they were connected but they didn't show up in the remote access.

It takes a while but respawning and switching between the two bases allows it to connect eventually. This shouldn't need to be the case, I'm guessing that one of the bases isn't loaded into the server so the antenna cannot technically connect to it

Yeah this is an old issue with Laser Antenna's that I believe is related to the sync distance. Antenna cannot connect to a grid that isn't there so to speak.

Hello,

Could you please provide us with more information regarding the issue you reported? To report a bug into

our system it is necessary to have reliable steps to reproduce in order for programmers to fix it.

Any additional information would be greatly appreciated!

I just reproduced this twice on a DS I'm on with admin rights yesterday. Repro steps:

1. Set up base on Earth with Laser Antenna 1

2. Set up asteroid station 100km away with Laser Antenna 2, paste in Laser Antenna 1 coords.

3. Laser Antennas will connect, but nothing appears in Remote Access. Known Receivers list remains empty even though the Laser Antennas report a connection.
