Explorer Achievement not Unlocking

Investigating

I reset my achievements using steam achievement manager to get the again, though when I tried to get the explorer achievement it doesn't track even after validating files. I don't know if its a game bug or S.A.M. If it is the S.A.M I'll just manually unlock.

Hello Engineer,

Thank you for your report. We have checked the Explorer achievement on our side and have not observed any issues with it unlocking under normal conditions. See the images.

Since you mentioned using Steam Achievement Manager, please note that this is a third-party tool not supported by us, and it may interfere with the way Steam tracks in-game progress. To ensure the achievement works correctly, could you please try the following steps in a fresh, unmodified game:

  1. Start a new Star System world in Survival mode.
  2. Spawn from the top of the spawn options list.
  3. After spawning on each planet or moon in the Drop Pod, wait until it lands. Then turn off the power of the Drop Pod to make sure no new spawn point is set.
  4. Exit the Drop Pod with your character, press Backspace to respawn, and then select the next location in the list.
  5. Go through all the Drop Pod options this way. After completing them, the Explorer achievement should unlock.

Could you please let us know if this works for you?

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards

I went through and did as you asked, I did it with and without experimental. Didn't unlock both times and the achievement counter didn't change. I know its a third party software which is why if it S.A.M that broke it ill just unlock it manually if we cant fix it. I've also attached the S.A.M menu for its statistics as the explorer achievement has 2, one for the counted planets and one called explorer. The count one when changed to 8 unlocks the achievement but the Explorer one when changed to 8 doesn't and a test after that spawning in on every planet didn't change the count. That test was before this convo but still valid.
