Windows invisible hit box quick fix[BUG]

GwaiLOL shared this bug 21 days ago
Won't Fix

The hitbox on the backside of large grid windows is larger than the armor block, which makes it frustrating for welders to print.

You can replicate the bug by building a simple piston printer to print a projection with armour block and window side by side, with blocks wrapped around the welders leaving only the welder tips exposed, make sure the back side of the window projection is facing the welder.

Then slowly retract the piston at extreme slow speed. You should see the armour block bring printed first and the window remains a projection.

I am not sure if vents have the same problem but worth the check as well.

Please reduce the hit box slightly.

Please try using the attached world save. Make sure to turn on the welders and reverse the piston. The piston is calibrated, and the exact thickness of the piston head is subtracted from the reverse/extend length.

You'll notice that the welders can only successfully weld the entire armor block, but they are unable to weld the window block. This is quite frustrating, especially for players who calibrated the printer to move exactly 2.5 meters for optimal yield.
