Hello,

Thank you for the report - sorry to hear your friend is getting stuck at 100% while trying to join.

You’ve already tried verifying files and reinstalling, which is a great start. A few more things to try:

  • Start a new online game (Lobby mode, no mods) and check whether your friend can join that one. This will help confirm if the issue is save-specific or more general.
  • In that new session, build a Medical Room and make sure it’s set to “Share with All.” If spawn points aren’t properly shared, players may load in but be unable to spawn.
  • Please also check your Lobby visibility (Private / Friends / Public), as this can affect how invites and Steam joins behave.
  • If you're hosting, open the Admin Screen (F10) and go to the Entity List → Characters. If there’s a leftover character linked to your friend, removing it may help clear the way for a proper login.
  • One more question: Have you tried sending a Steam invite to your friend instead of relying on them joining manually? If so, does anything change in behavior?

If none of the above helps, sharing the log files from both your side and your friend’s would be the next best step. That way we can dig into what’s causing the problem in more detail.

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Please make sure that you name the logs for example: "admin/host" and "client" so its visible what is what.

We also have some additional workarounds we can recommend depending on what we find next.

Kind regards,
