Hello Bruce,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

To help us investigate further, could you please confirm whether the issue occurred in a modded world (has active MODs) or in an unmodded (vanilla) one?

If MODs were active, we recommend pasting the blueprint of the affected grid into a new/vanilla world to check whether the issue still occurs. If the issue does not appear in a vanilla world, it’s likely that one or more MODs are causing the issue. However, if the issue persists even in a vanilla world, please check the following:

  1. Make sure the ore detector block is owned by you, is powered, and is in working condition.
  2. Press Tab key to show the HUD.
  3. Press H key to cycle through antenna signals (which includes ore detector displays). Make sure it's set to “All” so detected ores are visible.

If the issue still occurs after these checks, please send us a screen recording/video showing the issue on vanilla world, the vanilla world save file, along with the log file from the session in which the issue occurred.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers. Please send us the latest log file (starting with the name SpaceEngineers_) from the time the issue occurred.

Kind Regards,
