Grids made in certain servers break on others

Won't Fix

I made a private world, just a normal one, where I build and such, and recently I made a sophisticated build, one that I would normally build(I dont build often in this server as i have many), and after finishing it which took 5 hours, i went to try it on another server with a friend. I spawned it in, and EVERY system, im talking everything except for thrusters and gyros was broken, it was tested many times in the other server and respawned, but in every other server the buttons, hinges, pistons, everything was broken, and it wasnt battery that was the problem, i cant figure it out but it has happened to a build that was made in the server and later broke. If I could get an explaination that would be great, I now have to completely remake it and it might take a good hour or 2, im lucky ALL my work(5+ hours) wasnt wasted.

Hello Ethan,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

From your description, it sounds like your grid might include modded blocks. If that's the case, the grid was originally created on a world or server that had these MODs enabled, it would work normally there. However, if you paste that same grid into a vanilla (unmodded) world or on a server that doesn’t have those MODs installed/added, the grid may appear broken or incomplete due to missing modded blocks definitions.

If your grid only contains vanilla blocks and it still breaks, could you please let us know whether the issue occurs on a specific server or on any server (modded or unmodded)?

If the issue persists across all servers, we’d appreciate it if you could share a screen recording/video of the issue, along with a blueprint of the affected vanilla grid.

  • You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.

Kind Regards,
