Did my comment get deleted right after I posted it...? Weird.

Anyway, I also get this issue, generally and most often with the Hazard Armor texture.

I took this screenshot originally, then spent 5 minutes searching my base and surrounding ships for more Hazard Armor. This is the only Heavy Armor Hazard Armor, and also the only blurry textures.

I'm assuming this is an issue with LOD texture loading.

Does lowering your texture quality setting help? You might be running out of video memory.

Hello Engineer,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Could you please share more details about the issue you're experiencing? Specifically, does it occur in a single-player world, lobby, or on a multiplayer server?

Was the world or server using any MODs? If so, please check if the issue still occurs in a new, unmodded (vanilla) world.

Additionally, please try the following workarounds that could solve this issue:

Verify your game files in Steam

  • Right-click on Space Engineers in Steam Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify Integrity of Game Files

Delete SpaceEngineers.cfg file

  • It means your game configuration will be deleted
  • You can access your SpaceEngineers.cfg by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Delete ShaderCache folder

  • Same access as SpaceEngineers.cfg

After performing these steps, launch the game and go to Options > Display > Video Adapter. Make sure to select the adapter corresponding to your dedicated graphics card (e.g., NVIDIA or AMD). Click OK to save the settings.

Create a new vanilla world and check if the issue still occurs. If it does, in the same vanilla world, go to Options > Graphics, and try adjusting the Quality Preset between Low, Medium, and High to see if the texture issue persists across settings.

If the issue continues, please share new screenshots or a screen recording showing the issue, along with both latest log files (SpaceEngineers_ and VRageRender-), so we can investigate further.

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Kind regards,

Keen Software House: QA Department
