Welding blocks duplicate and lose components during welding projected blueprint

Need More Information

Yet another problem with my automatic tunneling shield. It welds the rail extension as it moves, so I wrote a script to queue up all the components needed for the projected blueprint. The ordered components exactly match the blueprint requirements, but during welding, steel plates are duplicated (there are extra ones left after welding is completed). Also sometimes the components seem to get lost and the last block ends up underwelded. The shield has its own assembler, and its part of conveyor system separated from the other one by sorters, so the problems seems to be in welders.

P.S. During tests on version 1.205 this did not happen.

Hello Engineer,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum, and please accept our sincere apologies for the delayed response to this thread.

Could you please confirm if there are any MODs active in the affected world?

Also, if possible, please try pasting the affected grid into a clean vanilla world (with no MODs) and see if the issue still occurs.

If the issue happens in vanilla as well, please send us, a screen recording/video showing the issue. The save file from the vanilla world with the script. The log file from the time when the issue occurred.

And also, a video from version 1.205 where everything worked correctly.

  • You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.
  • Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching world save/video files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

This information will help us reproduce and investigate the issue further.

Kind regards,

Keen Software House: QA Department

I don't use any mods (except some DLCs).

Just checked and the problem still exists: I usually run the tunneler for 5 cycles in a row and at the end it has about 20 extra steel plates in storage (21 this time). I added some containers so it can be run for 10 cycles (I prefer to process all the mined stone because I have some plans that require a lot of components, so I don't have a mechanism for dropping stones) although it will take a long time.

Use the yellow buttons on the panel to set the number of cycles and the red button to start.

The blocks you are interested in are labeled [Crawler] and are: Assembler, Left welder, Right welder, Programmable block, Storage 1, Storage 2.
