Wheeled Vehicles do not apply brakes (space bar) in multiplayer

Space bar brakes seem to work as intended in single payer, but not in multiplayer. Cockpit has brakes enabled, and wheels are set for braking. Space bar does nothing in multiplayer, to slow down or stop vehicle I have to use reverse directional input, or apply the parking brake.
In single player this problem doesn't seem to exist.
