Hydrogen thruster Sound Bug:

Max Eberhardt shared this bug 18 months ago
Won't Fix

Bonjur,

After multiple attempts of fixing it and checking the Hardware, i have a strange Bug. If all of your ships H2-Thrusters are on, but only in Idle-mode, they are 100% quiet, no Sound at all. But if you turn every thruster off, they Sound like on and in use, even if stationary. Bug appears only if Power and hydrogen are present, so i guess the Sound files are mixed up? Please fix this extrem annoying Bug.

Thank you.

Hello, Max,

thanks for letting us know.

Can you please provide more information?

Especially if you would be able to record me a video showing this issue, that would be great.

If you can provide a save file where the affected ship can be found, please share me that as well.

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

If you would not be able to record me a video with this bug, please share me at least exact steps to reproduce this issue.

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards

Also i would like to complain about the thruster flame light bleed thru all blocks. Ass oon as thrusters with flames are active it shines bright yellow thru any block and its incredibly annoying.

Oh, thats not a Bug, thrusterflames are like interiorlights, cornerlights or those new light panel, thats for performance-reasons. Interiorlights are a sphere of light, this sphere isnt affected by any block and cast no shadows, so the performance-usage is close to 0. Spotlights does cast shadows, but thats performance-heavy, to many and your game stops.

Thancs for the Quick reply, error 404's Video is the exact Bug i mentioned, but it also appers if you turn the Power off via controlpanel or turn the thruster itself off and the Power stays on. If you run out of fuel, the thruster stops, like it should

Here, read this one too. https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/pc/topic/thruster-sounds-in-directions-that-have-no-thrusters

Also i keep reporting sound bugs with drills and grinders on grids.

To sum it up, thrusters, and tools (not handheld) have sound issues.

Edit and i did notice another thingh, when i mine i have one sound of ion thrusters but whenever i reach a weight of 500.000.00kg its like the sound file changed, the thrusters change sound.
