game bug and glitch

Paille-Boy shared this bug 19 months ago
Won't Fix

the game have some annoying bug and glitches physic bug that launch you into a wall for no reason make a bunch of mechanical complexe absolutely not usable since everything brake time to time and the game run poorly even on low setting, rollback and such making precise maneuver result in a crash most of the time it's extremely annoying

I pay for most of the dlc and the game. I would like it to at least be enjoyable and playable, not just a mess that takes up space in my computer and that costs me an arm...

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Keen Software House.

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues.

Before taking any of the steps below please make sure that your PC meets the minimum system requirements:

https://www.spaceengineersgame.com/system-requirements.html

Can you please send us the following additional information?

*Reproduction steps detailing each issue you're experiencing

*Images/videos depicting each issue (if possible)

*World/save files (When hosting a larger file please use a trusted service like Google Drive.)

*Log files

Log files are located in C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Note that AppData is by default in windows a hidden folder, so if you cannot find it, you need to enable visibility of hidden folders. Here is a guide on how to do it step by step: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-see-hidden-files-in-windows/

You can access it quickly by pressing WinKey+R and typing %appdata%\SpaceEngineers. This is much easier, it works on all versions of Windows, and it doesn't require showing hidden files.

This additional information will help us to investigate the issue(s) you're experiencing.

Kind regards, Keen Software House

ho sorry i didn't got notified you responded

well i'm pretty sure i have the correct hardware since it start to roll back only wen i am near other object (ship and structure, asteroid/planet seem stable so far) rest of the time its pretty fluid even with higher setting

for the physic and mechanical glitch well putting too much rolling stuff making huge custom door or crane on a ship result often in one of the component breaking for no reason, wheel vehicle sometime don't absorb properly the shock they should so they are either hard as a bloc and send the vehicle 10-20m in the air or they are soft as air and just don't absorb enything resulting in the wheel rubber being the only thing separing the ground from the vehicle (wich is sometimes not enough, no matter how i change the setting it work normally but at some point doesn't

and you get launch extremely fast wen you get in a door arc and close it, the door squeesh you and launch you one way or another and sometime fast enough to disapear into another galaxy or be pancake on a wall, maybe a security that prevent the door from closing if a finger is in the way or smth

thx

Hello, Paille-Boy,

thanks for all that info.

However, can you please provide the information and files that my colleague asked before?

I would be good if you can share me exact steps to reproduce as well as video/image showing this issue(s) that you are experiencing.

Also, please make sure that the game you are playing on is vanilla (no mods). If it is, and this issue is still happening, can you please send me save/blueprint as well as the log file after your game crashes?

You can find these files in:

Logs:

You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Saves:

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Blueprints:

You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.

That way I can actually see what you are doing prior this issue(s) start to happen and apply the steps in game in the very same environment as you are playing on.

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards
