Station converting to large ship on it's own

Hello, over the last days I encountered a bug a couple of times that makes a station convert to a ship without me pressing the convert button in the menu or disconecting the grid from the terrain voxels. It seems to sometimes appear when adding or removing blocks from the station or just pointing a grinder at a block of the grid. I'm not sure what exactly triggers it unfortunately as it only happens sometimes.

If I load the save file (google drive link due to upload file size limitation) and do nothing but switching to the grinder (ctrl+2, then 2 in my toolbar config) the station completely clangs out for no apparent reason.

Edit: also note that the world has a bunch of mods loaded but no idea if that's connected to the issue.

I have the same issue with no mods loaded at all while in single player. This has been a bug for at least the last 3 releases, all the way up to 1.193.103. Also no programmable blocks and no subgrids on the grid that spontaneously converted. I've left one grid free floating in space while I work on it because of this bug. Every time it was converted while embedded in voxels, it exploded. Worse, when it converts, it acquires a phantom vector from somewhere and drifts.

There may be a correlation with the number of blocks in the grid. It seems to happen most reliably when the block count gets high, even if most of the blocks are just armor.

There may also be a correlation with your character leaving the vicinity of the grid and returning. Some sort of optimization unloading the grid while you're away and then something goes horribly wrong when reloading it? Looks that way.

Also encountering this issue on a vanilla dedicated server. No issues were initially observed until a random attempt was made to remove a passenger seat from a station which was embedded inside an asteroid, resulting in the station converting to a ship and effectively imploding itself. Despite reloading of backup saves, the issue persists.

Station Voxel Support is enabled and no changes have been made to the configuration file which would cause a sudden change in behavior.

I have encountered this same issue and it seems to be consistently caused when a grinder is being used and it separates blocks form the main station. I'd imagine the physics applied to the separated blocks (i.e. the drift in a random vector) is erroneously being applied to the station as a whole

Good theory. I thought I recalled blowing up my station by adding a block too once it got into this fragile state, but maybe not. I'll have to try that and see what it does. Also haven't tried in the new version.

This isn't outdated. It just happened to me. I am in the middle of building an asteroid base, with multiple "support"s with heavy blocks built into voxels. Grind one of them and everything explodes. The whole station starts drifting.
