Rotor's min and max limit...

HI, me again.

Drilling a vertical shaft, i use 3 drills which i first drill a small hole with, than move them more outwards to enlarge a hole. I wouldnt have to do this 2 step procedire, but the server has a 5 drill limit.

Until recently whenever i loged in i had to rebuild everythingh below the rotor, without expeption. Always, every damn time. Even online anythingh below the piston starts wobling around and sometimes explodes. So i added a side piston with a magnetic plate to hold drills in place when i am offline.

And it worked well one time, you see i have to use rotor lock in the certain position so the magnetic plate can grab on.

This issue started when i started changing rotor's min and max traverse to get it in the right position. The damn thingh, which is limited to 0,3 rpm just rotates with crazy speed, usualy killing me and blowing stuff up.

In the video there is an extra bonus, clang took the drills straight to the void. Usualy some drills explode or just fall on the bottom of the pit, but i always get to grind up most of the stuff.

This time they fell to the center of the planet i think.

Pls limit all rotor speeds to the player defined velocity, it cant just twitch like a maniac and blow stuff up.

Since you are going to ask me for steps to replicate this and mark as "need more info" anyway..

I spent some time in creative and singleplayer to try and replicate this issue. I could not. Rotor behaves like a good boi in both modes. Only the server brings out it inner clang.

Hello, error 404!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. I appreciate you have said that this only happens in a server, however, could you please supply either a blueprint or, a save file from a dedicated server that would enable me to reproduce the issue in my own dedicated server environment? Please also include reliable steps to reproduce the issue too.

Kind Regards

Hello, error 404!

Thank you :)

You can access your blueprints files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Blueprints. Select the correct folder where your blueprint is saved (local or cloud), zip the file and attach it here.

Woila.

Have fun

Here is a video to help you see the issue.

Oh and if you need a glitchy, laggy server to fully experience this adventure, i recomend Keen EU 2.

Edit 2 : i used just light blocks for this demo, its costly to rebuild 3 drills over and over again, i hope you understand.

Hey Laura.

How did it go, did you manage to test and make it clang?

I know, i know. Plenty of posts regarding the issue, and i made a couple comments in your post too.

And i can find posts about this issue many years old.

We have all the info in the world, all we need is a fix.

Yay.

Do you know what this means, this is a historic moment in the ongoing war against clang lol.

If this gets fixed everybody will have less issues with rotors.

I am just glad it was finaly proven and you confirmed there is somethingh wrong. There are posts with this issue years old that were unresolved.

Have a nice day.

P.S. Any ideas when we can expect a fix?
