Uniform data display and programmable block

The following is just an example I found today, but I've seen this frequently.

Rotor displacement setting has a screen display of 6,0 cm, but when you ctrl-left click the value it has an internal value of 0.06 instead of what the terminal screen displays. These should be uniform.

And in a programmable block, the IMyMotorStator.Displacement value is 0.015 (and all values are off 0.045 from the internal value).

These 3 values really should match to aid players in setting values and those players writing scripts.

Hello, ShadedMJ,

thanks for sharing your concern with us.

I really try to understand what is the real point of this thread. Can you please elaborate more? It´s obvious, that 0.06 m is equal to 6 cm. And I´m pretty sure you do understand that program/code the block math functions in centimeters won´t be the best idea.

Taking a look on the other part of the text about programmable block... can I please get some script that shows the current (broken) behavior? I´m not able to check it without proper example. Can you please share me either the script alone or some save file, where it would be visible, with a grid with programmable block already on it?

Thanks in advance for you reply, for providing the needed info/files and if you can share more information, elaborate more on any of the problems you mentioned here.

Kind Regards

Since the time I originally wrote that, there have been updates. I am at 1.198.033 updated today and the programmable block value matches the typed value.

I am asking for the display to show in the same scale as the typed value, Not having them in the same scale makes Keen look bad. Professional software does not change scales like that. This is common user interface design.

The other way to ask this is "Why do they have to be two different scales?". Why not have the displayed value be 0.06m (the same as typed value) and at least be consistent?

The programmable block value is the same as the intern

This can be marked as Won't Fix or Fixed. My main concern was the programmable block issue, and that isn't a problem any more.

Hello, ShadedMJ,

thanks for letting me know; that is great!

I also did put the non-uniform value into our system, because it is bug, but it´s rather small one, so I can´t guarantee it if will get fix at all, or soon enough.

Kind Regards
