Controller Not working for only space engineers

Won't Fix

My controller is connected it works just fine for every other game except space engineers ive tried re configuring my controller ive tried resetting my pc ive have even go so far as to delete my cache in vain attempt to get any button to work. even when my keyboard and mouse are not even plugged in and my controller is literally the only device connected and it still magically defaults to keyboard. even going in the main setting doesnt work even though my controller is clearly visible. this is obviously a fault with game and not anything to do with me on my end so that meens keen doesnt know how controller support works

Sorry you're experiencing this issue. Firstly, can you tell me which controller are you trying to use in the game? You may want to try right-clicking on Space Engineers in Steam, going to controller and disabling Steam support. Please let me know if this enables you to use your controller.

I did that already. I also did it in big picture mode and in game as well. Still nothing. Ice even discconected my key board entirely leaving only my controller on. Still nothing. I went into my steam files and deleted some folders to restore the default settings. Nothing. Works fine for all my other games just not space engineers

I have had some news back regarding this issue. Unfortunately, this is not something that can be solved at the moment. We officially fully support just the Xbox controller. Sorry I could not give you better news in this instance.
