mouse bug after creative mode

George Specht shared this bug 2 years ago
Won't Fix

after going in to admin mode 3rd party (F8 and F6) the mouse will quits working correctly.

1) you can rotate left and right, but not up or down

2) you can not control a ship because you can not control the pitch up and down.

3) going in and out of admin mode does not help

4) re logging does not help

5) deleting the cfg file does not help

6) mouse works correctly in window and other games.

the only fix I have found is to reload space engineers and it fixes it until I go into admin or creative mode. and this happens again.

I will like any help I can get to fix this, doing 2 reloads a day, (I am a admin for large server) is killing me

Hello, George!

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Sorry to ask some simple questions but I'm a little confused on trying to reproduce this issue. I assume firstly you're in the Dedicated server in creative mode? Do you mean a creative game or, creative tools are on? Are you hitting F8&F6 together? Could you please clarify the steps to reproduce this :) Sorry to have to ask!

Kind Regards

This happens both on a dedicated server and on local world during creative.

1) press F8 to fly some distance.

2) press cntrl-space to teleport to that location.

3) press F6 to go back into first person

after this when in "normal" mode, while in a cockpit or other control, I can look up and down with out pressing ALT, But I can not make the ship rotate up or down. Get out of the cockpit and the cherter will look up and down in 1st person but will not rotate up and down with out having the ALT button pressed.

attempted fixes

1) press f8 then press f6. = no change

2) set all controls back to default = not change

3) del the CFG file = not change

4) reboot the computer = no change

5) use steam to uninstall the game, and reinstall = no change

6) use steam to uninstall the game then go to "C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming" rename the folder "SpaceEngineers" to "SpaceEngineers.safe" then reload the game. = works

Hello, George!

Thank you for the clarification and reproduction steps, that makes it a lot clearer. Unfortunately, I can't seem to reproduce the issue you're having. Is this something that has recently started happening or something that has been happening quite a while? I wonder if it is possible to record a short video of how it is handling on your side? If you're able to, please attach it via GoogleDrive and make sure it is set to public :)

Kind Regards

Hello, Engineer!

Because there is no new comment from you, and we are unable to reproduce the issue on our own, I will close this thread now as outdated.

If you or any other player will experience this issue again, please make a new thread and provide all needed info there.

Thank you for understanding.

Kind Regards
