Sensor Terminal interface - duplicate of each controls

Alexandre Huppe shared this bug 3 years ago
Solved

The UI of the sensor in the terminal seems to have each control twice (see images below for a sample).

Sensor was placed on the side of a large grid piston (if that maters).

Hello, Alexandre,

thanks for letting us know about this issue. However, when I did try it, all settings in Sensor block were displayed properly, each just once.

Can I please ask whether you have some special settings (graphics, display?). Did you build it properly with welder or place it down using creative tool? What kind of game is it - Solar System, or Frostbite, perhaps? Well, it did work on both of them for me. Did it happen just once, on one world, in one session, or you are experiencing it on every game that you run/start? Are you running the vanilla game, or using some mods?

Easiest thing to do so I can reproduce it is to share the save file with me.

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Kind Regards

Hi Ondrej,

About the graphics, I guess I'm not using anything special, but this is an old PC (designed for Windows 7, so the drivers might not all be perfect for Windows 10). If you wish, I'll elaborate more on this if needed.

The sensor was build in a vanilla survival Frostbite scenario whitout any mods. Placed and welded (player tool, best quality welder if this changes anything).

This was the first time (at least in a few years) I've played a sensor, I placed ~4-5 mores in the same world and each have the same problem.

I can try to test in other world/save later today and also provide a save file at the same time. Should the save file be at a specific location (I've played some more in the same world, the 1rst sensor doesn't exist anymore, but the 4-5 I've build after that are there, disabled: I suspect they made me lag -> player was moving a little bit more slowly, player energy was draining really fast, O2 level went from high to none... quite weird, but nothing like that happened before the sensor were build and nothing happened after they were disabled).

If you read this before I can post again and need something specific in the save file, please let me know, I'll try to upload this later today.

Well, guess it was a temporary bug or weird interaction on my PC... Same world and no duplication on the 5 sensor I built.

When I built and configured them, I had every control twice, but it seems like everything is back to normal.

Can't explain it, but can't complain: it works.

Sorry for the bug report
