Allow blocks to occupy the same space

I really wish we that some of the blocks were allowed to occupy the same space. The collision of blocks was reviewed so that they can move past each other, but you still can't build 2 triangles next to each other. There's a number of blocks which only occupy a very small portion of the space, such as walkways, lights, control panels... Allowing theses blocks to be built in the same space would not have much impact on the balance of the game, but it would give builders more options.

Doing so would be almost like compound blocks, so I doubt it will ever happen, but you can't build things even when there's a separate grid in the vicinity. I made a suggestion about that here https://support.keenswh.com/spaceengineers/pc/topic/allow-placing-of-half-blocks-when-theres-enough-room

Yeah, compound block have been a requested feature for .... 4+ years now?

its a design choice, they tested that in medieval engineers and rejected it, would be nice but also really confusing. so it will stay the way it is
