Modding Exhaust AvailableEffects not actually doing anythink

stonelords shared this bug 3 years ago
Solved

So I am making a mod that using the new exhaust definition and I only want the list to contain my paticle effects but for some reason even if i only have my effect in the AvailableEffects all the other dlc effects still show on the list and so i would have to put this block behind the dlc wall because of this bug

This is the Sbc for the block as you can see just my effect

And this is what i get in game as you can see all the other effects are still there

Hello, stone lords,

it´s quite some time from when you shared this issue. Is it still happening to you?

It is not happening for me. I mean... the internal ingame list of effects is not changing at all (which is not right either, I know), but I´m not able to get that one new effect in the list once written into the sbc file. Can you please elaborate more how exactly you did it, please? Any more help would be greatly appreciate :)

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ondrej,

My effects don't show up in the list at all. I only have the default vanilla values no matter how I enter the string in the SBC.

Really appreciate you looking into this.

It is possible to change the emitter dummy for a new model, and add additional effects but the DLC list will always remain.

this mod should only have Health_Gas as an effect but it still shows the full listing.

Hopefully, this helps.

Hello, Engineers!

Thanks Chris for providing the mod example :) That was really a great help! The issue was successfully reproduced and put into our internal system.
