remote control list and buttons messy

I have a mobile base with docked ships. Most of the small grid ships are remotecontroled and the base also has a remote control.

I can remote control the base, but the moment i dock a ship, the base is out of the remote control list. It can happen, that i can chose one of the docked ships and than i remotecontrol the base.

In short the list for remote controlling is bugged.

On a different server i can connect via terminal with the ship and then go down in the list to the remote block and in the submenue i can choose control, then i can remote control the ship. But when i do it from the list, the control button is greyed out.

Basically all kinds of combinations of controlling or not able to control is possible, its kind of messed up. This needs some love.

Hi,

Is this something which is different from the 194.211 version of something special broken on public test?

Thanks

Hi,

Can you be more specific about this issue? Maybe a video showing, what's wrong. Also is this happening on current 194.211 release version?

Thanks

One Scenario of this bug, which i played right now:

OK, so now i have built a large grid ship. I placed Antenna and a remote. I named it "Usurpines Jump Ship base".

I also built a small grid ship which is docked, i named that Cursor CMK-5-1.

Its all on a dedicated server, not on public test. Its all updated.

I now want to connect to the large grid ship, its not listed, instead the docked ship is listed. When i now controll the docked ship, i control the large grid ship. So i double checked the grid name, which is "Usurpines Jump Ship base". But renaming this will not make any difference.

So i now undock the "Cursor CMK-5-1" and tataa both ships are listed and both i can control remotly.

So this is one version of this bug, which is reproducable. Obviosly the big grid shipped with the big remote should stay in the list and not overtaken the name of the small grid ship which is docked.

This is one scenario of this bug only.

i always use latest versions. It was in the public test release and it happened last night with my ship on my own dedicated server.

I just placed one remote control, was able to use it. Second time i wanted to use it was greyed out in the last, but still i was able to use it with terminal and then going into submenue from the remote and then i clicked the button for control.

The other bug , where npcs ship are floating was also present.

I hacked a NPC ship, hacked the seat and the giros, switched off the ion thrusters, hacked the gyro but not matter what i was doing the ship kept on moving.

It was also moving without even having thrusters anymore and also kept on turning while i had control over the gyro. So the remote (which i didnt hack) was moving the ship independently.

So i just scrapped down the thrusters because that was the only think i wanted to have from that ship.

The remote connection thing is weird. I remote connect to my base, and when i open the terminal and look in the info tab, it shows i'm connected to one of the docked ships instead, while the list of remote grids (top left drop down) shows the name i set for my base. Also when going into inventory and select it to show only stuff the current ship, it shows the inventory of the docked ship, not the inventory of my base what i choose to connect to.
