MAJOR Pressurization Bug

So I found a bug recently where when I flew my ship to space, the area around the outside of the ship still had breathable air. Leave the bounding box of the ship and boom, vacuum, no air. The same thing happens when taking a ship that was built in space (or pasted) and flown back down to a planet. The area around the ship will have no air and you can suffocate and die. The only fix I've seen so far is to modify the grid in any way, ie. building, or grinding blocks. This can get very annoying as you don't normally expect the area around your ship to have no air on a planet that normally has it.
