Multiple Ships conflicting on NPC Stations

Recently experienced an issue where another player could not see their own ship's inventories in the store dropdown at an NPC station while my ship was connected.
However, I could see my own ship's inventories in the store dropdown menu whether the other player's ship was connected or not.
Neither the other player or myself were in a faction, and I believe both ships had a single cargo container each (though my own possessed several gas tanks).
