When I dock any ship of any size on a large ship, it begins to lose altitude and sometimes lose horizontality.

I had an issue while flying, my ship was around 4000 ^ Full Power 2 hours, forward thrusters 2 big ones. and all of the sudden at full power 100.00 in speed its still going 100.00 but i am falling so fast! and hit the ground Boom! i also pressed the space bar to use my 10 down thrusters to try and get some up thrust but nothing.
