[1.192.021] Crash on loading world. Everytime.

Bugso Bagley shared this bug 4 years ago
Solved

Whenever I make a new world or try to load a world of any kind, even on joining a friend, the game crashes. I haven't played the game in a while on this computer, but before the updates it worked fine. I am attaching the log, I really hope that someone can help, because the game is completely unplayable.

So I asked around what could be the reason of this and it seems it could be because of missing VS Redist C++ 2017 package, which is now required to run the game. I would recommend to download ind install this package.

I hope this helps.

Hey, you're missing an important file (VRage.Native.dll).

To fix it: Steam Library>Space Engingeers>Properties>Local Files>Verify Integrity of Game Files.

If that doesn't fix it, reinstall the game. your stuff should all stay.

Hope that helped!

Hello,

Did you try what James recommended? Did it help?

Thank you.

I downloaded the big pack of updates. Still crashes. Verify game files. Still crashes. Restart computer, crash, restart steam, crash, reinstall the game. Still crashes.

I came here because I had already tried all the.obvious stuff. Steam said that it verified the files correctly. I'm not saying that you're wrong, just that verification and reinstallation didn't help. Thanks anyway.

Oh no, maybe it's not removing all the files when you uninstall.

Send me the vrage file at reptidudes@gmail.com and I'll do a checksum against mine to be sure.

File location is: (usually program files x86) Steam>steamapps>common>space engineers>bin64>VRage.Native.dll

If the checksum doesnt match then the file is definitely corrupt and steam isn't detecting it, although i highly doubt this is the case.

This file is definitely the source of the problem.

Sorry, I can't send a .dll file over gmail. I will verify again after the re installation, but I don't think that's the problem. Should I just attach it here, or would you rather have me send it a different way?

I found a similar.problem online with this solution. I went to the website to download it and I can't because we already have a version of visual studio. I can't check now, but later today I'll send more info about it.
