Welder's flame tip should end at the crosshair

The welder viewmodel should be reajusted so that the flame's tip ends at the player crosshair. Currently, the animation feels unconnected to the world, as the flame can be above the block being welded (which is decided by the crosshair location). It also makes the welding process totally unintuitive when the crosshair disabled.

The figure below demonstrates the issue. The block is being welding, but the flame is not pointing to it.

This is a possibility of how it should look (Made with image editing software):

That's not how you actually weld. In practice, you have to look around the flame/arc. If anything, your character should be turning his head to the right and leaning several inches to the left. Otherwise the sparking (which is droplets of molten steel) destroys the surface of your face protection.

YES! I have been bothered by this too, the welding is not done at the center of the cross hairs..should be a relative easy fix..

I want more!

Welding should not waste the energy of a suit!

Welding must waste a supply of oxygen and hydrogen suit!

This leads to a completely different style of play. Forcing players to use balloons of oxygen and hydrogen.

Boi, you better not weld steel with hydrogen. It dissolves into the metal and causes bubbles to form in the joint as it cools, resulting in a weak, brittle connection.

Keep it as it is, unless you want to go full welding simulator this arcadeway is fine. Energy is used to power tools, hydrogen is used to power your jetpack. Before the hydrogen update energy did both flying and tools and it was way too easy to get stuck without it.

If welding uses energy, replace the welding flame with manual arc welding, or start using oxygen and fuel gases.

I would say your visor auto-polarises. I mean, what's the point on engineering in the future without the fancy perks?

That kind of welder doesn't even have a flame my dude. I'd rather they take it away entirely.
