Created NPC entites in assignment won't show up

Hello there,
i can't get to work creating npc entities over the block assignment in the control panel, somehow they get created and are visible in the sandbox.sbc file but not showing up ingame.
The workaround I have used now was to create a faction, add there a npc, assign the grid and then leave the faction. I was not able to assign the blocks while i was not in the faction.
gamemode: Survival

just as an update... the workaround didn not work, the grid i wanted to get owned by the npc got delted on a server restart <.<
