3) Right click on the gamepad and open 'Game Controller settings'

4) Select the controller and press 'Advanced' button

5) Select 'Controller (Xbox One For Windows)' as preferred device

6) Press 'Ok' button,

but hasnt fixed the tigger button issue, if you have any other ideas im willing to try and would

Hello Engineer,

Thank you very much for the detailed report and for taking the time to test the workaround.

Based on your description, it looks like you may actually be dealing with two separate issues:

1) The trigger drift / non-working LT & RT (wireless mode):

The behavior you're describing strongly suggests that the trigger axis is reporting a non-zero resting value through the dongle.

A few things worth trying:

• Open the Xbox Accessories app (free from the Microsoft Store), connect the controller, and check whether the triggers are showing input at rest. If so, try resetting the controller to its default profile and disabling any custom trigger sensitivity settings.

• Make sure both the controller firmware and the Xbox Wireless Adapter firmware are fully up to date (both can be updated via the Xbox Accessories app).

• If you use the Elite's hardware profile switch, try setting it back to the default profile (profile 0 / no LED).

• Reconnect using the wireless dongle and test again.

2) The Xbox / keyboard flickering (wired mode)

We are aware of this issue in certain situations, and it has already been reported in our internal system. It doesn't happen exclusively in wired mode, but we are still looking for ways to fix it. This can often be at least temporarily fixed by restarting the computer.

If the issue in wireless mode persists, a short video of the behavior (including the menu scrolling and the UI flicker) would help us investigate further.

Information about your Windows version, graphics driver version, and whether any controller-related background software is running would also be very useful.

I am using Xbox One Elite 2 controller, mostly in wireless mode, myself and can confirm that I have no LT/RT issues with it.

Thanks again for your patience and for the thorough testing — we'll keep digging on our end in the meantime.

Best regards,

QA Department

Hi Jan

I found a fix for the flickering by pressing the win+L when ingame to sign user out of windows then sign back in, so i can play wird no issues.

i have tryed what you meantioned above,

resetting the controller to its default profile, checking triggers are working as intended

firmware update controller/dongle

reinserting dongle

trying to play wireless from the dongle still has the tigger issues

Update I found the Issue/Fix.

So this is what i done,

turned off my Controller right click start go in to Device Manger and under Human Interface Devices i found the driver for my Controller uninstalled it (aswell as hidden/not used drivers if not plug in to find them click on View next to Action at the top and check Show Hidden Devices), turned my controller back on let it install it self back and now triggers are working with dongle (wireless) as intended.
