Game wont launch latest hotfix update

Was working initially Monday and Tuesday Morning May 4-5th, but with hotfix now the game does not launch. I am going straight to crash reporting. Tried disabling all mods, reinstalling, changing drivers on the NVDA RTX GPU from game ready to Studio.

All those attempts have failed. Was working with updated content but when the hotfix happened I cannot launch.

OS: Windows 10

RTX 5060 ti

they need you to send your latest log file from %appdata%/SpaceEngineers otherwise they can't magically know why it crashed

I sent the log file, they closed those tickets. They have it. they also just updated the game and the issue is resolved.

This problem has returned again.

While it was working until an update May 9th, on May 10th it now crashes again at launch. Today May 11th the issue persists.

Again, at this state the game is comepletely unplayable. Launching the Game in steam instantly crashes it.

I have a Recent update on this with Windows 10. It seems that the latest update on May 12th, has resolved the issue with this crash on my end. Windows 10 seems to have no issue. I recommend anyone who has Windows 10 KB5087544

According to Brave serach AI this update fixes an issue where security warning dialogs rendered incorrectly on systems with multiple monitors or mixed display scaling, a bug introduced by the previous April 2026 security update (KB5082200). Can't be certain but it may be that this issue has been a display bug for those with multiple monitors or playing on different resolutions.

Latest update with windows and now the game works...until a windows update breaks something.

Spoke too soon, was able to launch after a fresh PC reboot but now the issue returned. Subsequent PC reboots do not help, the first one was after a Windows update, it worked and now it doesn't.

Its beyond me to guess at what issue is causing the issue.
