Cloud saving does not work.

Solved

I have a PC and a gaming laptop. Usually I play on PC, but lately I play on the laptop too. I've faced a problem, that SE1 cloud saving is not working.

Cloud saving is activated on both computers in Steam's game properties and in the game itself(Settings -> Game -> Enable Cloud).

Steam says that saves are syncronized and even that there are 36,03 Mb of available space used. But none of my saved worlds appeared on the laptop.

Please fix.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out on our forum.

Please note that the game does not support Steam Cloud for world saves. It is only used for things like blueprints and scripts, not full save files.

That is why worlds created, played, and saved on one system are not visible or accessible on another.

If you want to transfer your saves between devices, you’ll need to do it manually by copying the save files from: "%appdata%\SpaceEngineers\Saves" and moving them to the same location on your other PC.

You can also publish the world to the Steam Workshop on one system and subscribe to it on the other. This way, you can access the save from your second PC.

This is intended behavior and not a bug.

Please let us know if this information helps, or if there’s anything else we can assist you with.

Kind Regards,

Well, I guess I know why. My Saves folder is almost 6Gb. I did not realize it's that big.

I guess, I'll have to use some other cloud like google drive or dropbox.
