Hello Engineer,

Thank you for reaching out on our forum regarding this issue.

Please note that game saves and world files are stored locally on your PC only. The "Enable Cloud" option applies to blueprints and does not back up world save files.

If you previously had this option enabled, you may still be able to recover your blueprints. However, if no local backup was created and the worlds were not published to the Workshop, the world save files cannot be recovered.

We recommend checking your local folders to see whether any save files or blueprints are still present on your hard drive. To check, please navigate to: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers. These should be all local folders associated with the game, including your saves and blueprints. You can get there by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to this hidden Roaming folder.

Please let us know if you need any more support from our side.

Thank you.

Thanks for the quik answer.

Sadly the Roaming folder does not contain any blueprints either, although I'm 99% sure i enabled cloud saves.

Hello Engineer,

Since you mentioned that you performed a clean reinstallation of Windows, it’s very likely that locally stored game data - such as saves and blueprints - was removed during that process.

If you previously had the Cloud option enabled, please make sure it is turned on again now.

You can also try verifying your game files in Steam:

Steam Library → right-click Space Engineers → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files

This may help restore any blueprints that were stored via Steam Cloud, if applicable.

Additionally, if you had published any worlds or blueprints to the Workshop, you can try subscribing to them again to restore that content.

Kind regards,

Cheers for your replies.

I checked the files, opend the game, unchecked and rechecked the cloud sync in the options, loaded a new world and the blueprints are back.

Thanks for the help
