Wheeled vehicles exploding

Vanake14 shared this bug 5 years ago
Solved

On planets, wheeled vehicles appear to explode after staying still for a while.

I have experienced explosions when parking with:

  • Handbrake
  • No handbrake
  • Landing gears connected to voxels (explosion after unlocking)

Of these, handbrake seems to create the most explosions.

All of these vehicles have had 4 3x3 wheels with about 60 strength, small grid, Earthlike planet.

What I think happens is the vehicles, for some reason, get a huge velocity in one direction, usually down. Landing gears connected to stations appear to prevent the explosions, but voxels don't seem to have the same effect.

So far I have only experienced this on multiplayer.

Same here. It's noteworthy, that multiple cars exploded in a short timeframe after everything was fine for hours. Some were parked with landing gear and some with handbrake

We've had it happen today, after some days of everything being fine.

Parking brake was on in both instances where this occured, both times the vehicles were parked on a static grid and not on voxels.

I have noticed the explosions/weird behaving whenever a projectile gets deleted, like a rocket shot into space/sky it get removed after a certain distance, and the moment it does, wheels cause huge damage to its grid.

Thats what i have noticed

Also happens on offline single-player.For me it exploded when I increased suspension strength (from default 6% to around 20%).

Hi guys,

fixed in next minor update 187.1!

It was caused by the cluster reorder.
