ship immobile when attempting vectoring thrust

Need More Information

I have an unmodded save world where I am working on a small grid prototype cargo ship. The main feature of that ship is meant to be thrust vectoring pods on the sides, however the ship seems to be frozen in place and the convert to options are greyed out. I made a copy of the ship without thrust vectoring, and it moves without a problem. I am unable to discern if the problem is a bug with SE, or an issue with the thrust vectoring script. When accessing the programmable block, I see a message that says everything stopped. Performance mode. This is new to me as I have not had a problem previously with this script. Noted symptoms include the following so far:

-Ship is frozen in place despite not being listed as a station. Thrusters activate but speed does not increase. No change with additional thrusters

-Thrust Vectoring script is added yet does not seem to recognise the rotors. Rotors are not locked and remain in original position

-Inertia Dampners non responsive to manual command (Z) and revert to not being activated in the cockpit

-Ship will respond to gyro movements

-Ship is powered and on

-Reloaded and recompiled script. No change

-Copied and repasted ship. No change

when thrust is activated on the vectored ship, all thrusters activate regardless of their individual direction. It's as if inertia dampners are active despite an inability toggle them manually

Hello Engineer,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the forum.

We tested the provided save in both the current game version and the previous one, and the behavior remains the same. All thrusters appear to be active when attempting to fly the ship, but the grid itself remains stationary and does not move.

Since the affected grid is using a script, we recommend reviewing the script’s configuration in the programmable block’s Custom Data. If this is a Workshop script, please check its Workshop page or contact the script author to confirm whether an updated version or specific setup is required. If the script was written by you, you may need to adjust its logic to ensure it is not keeping the grid in a parked or “everything stopped” state.

However, since you mentioned that this script was working previously, could you please confirm whether there were any other supporting MODs active in that world at the time? Also, does this script require any additional MODs to function correctly?

If possible, we would really appreciate a screen recording/video showing the script working as expected, along with the log file from a session where it behaved correctly. This would help us investigate the issue more effectively.

  • You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.

Thank you for your understanding.

Kind regards,
