I found a bug in Space Engineers (tested without any mods).

On a small grid, the conveyor, container, and cockpit inventories are not connected.

It’s impossible to access items from the container through the connector or the cockpit, even though everything is properly connected.

This issue only occurs on small grids — on large grids everything works correctly.

thank you for reaching our forum with this problem.

When trying we didn't experience the said problem on our side, everything was working and connected properly.

Please note that when using the small grid small conveyor, there are certain restriction on what blocks can and can not pass through. The list is as follows:

Items and components that are only valid for Large and Medium conveyor systems:

Missile Containers, Bulletproof glass, Detector Components, Display, Girder, Gravity Generator Components, Hydrogen Bottle, Interior Plate, Large Steel Tube, Medical Components, Metal Grid, Oxygen Bottle, Power Cell, Radio-communication Components, Small Steel Tube, Solar Cell, Steel Plate, Superconductor Conduits.

You can see these blocks as "too large to be able to pass" the small conveyor.

Let me ask, if the problematic components were from the list, or if you are experiencing the same also with other components.

If yes, can you please share me a video showing this problem on your side and also the affected save file?

You can access your save files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Saves. There should be a folder with your SteamID and your saves.

Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.

Hello!

I understand how the conveyor system works, so I tested all cockpit types. I used a large conveyor on a small grid, connecting everything with two different connectors and a container. I also placed one bottle and one tool in each inventory to test the connection.

However, nothing is transferred — even though these items should pass through both large and small conveyors on the small grid, the inventories remain unconnected.

I verified the integrity of the game files, and everything was fine. I also tested this in a new world without any mods, but the issue still happens.

It seems to be a game bug.

unfortunately, I am unable to view the video.

Can you please make sure that the link has "share with all/all with this link" option is enabled?

Also, as asked before, can you please supply me the affected save file itself?

Even from the video, it can serve as a nice steps to reproduce, but having the option to try the same on your affected save/grid, is always the best.

I just watched your video, and have to say: Your Grids dont have Power right? Conveyor systems need Power (Battery, reactor etc) to work :)
