All rovers have lost the ability to steer wheels.
No wheels can be steered from cockpit blocks, by pressing "A" or "D". Regardless of any settings on the rover itself or in the game.
Now to save everyone's time I'll ask the stupid questions up front.
Stupid questions and answers:
SQ: Was steering enabled on the wheels settings?
A: Yes you idiot.
SQ: Did yew fancy city ingineers have a gyro stopping you from turning, hu-yuk?
A: So simpleton. The wheels themselves are not pivoting when you attempt to steer. You can drive forwards and backwards and thats it. The wheels will only steer if manually set in the terminal.
SQ: Oh so you mean exactly what you said when you said rovers cant steer.
A: Yeah. No shit.
SQ:Does it have power? So you have wheel suspension blocks attached? Do you have space engineers installed? Are you actually just staring at a whall and hallucinating all of this?
A: Im not dignifying any of those.

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing issues. You've reached the console support side of the forum. Could you please let us know if you're playing on an Xbox using mouse and gamepad or if you're playing on PC? If latter, are you using a Steam version or Windows Store?
Could you please let us know if the issue happens in Single Player or Multiplayer? If Single Player, are you using any mods? Could you please publish the world that's experiencing the issue to mod.io and share the link in this thread? If in Multiplayer, please publish the blueprint of the rover instead.

Steam version on steamdeck.
It appears to be firmly in the "bug" category.
I play single player, offline.
The bug pops up on new vanilla worlds as well as comfortably modded ones.
