controller crash
Need More Information
The game is crashing everytime I select to use the controller. Tried to repair game files but did not work, disabling steam input did not work. Using different controllers (Xbox, PS4, PS5) all resulted in instant crash

Please note that the only officially supported controllers for playing Space Engineers on PC are the Xbox One and Xbox Series X controllers. Could you please specify which type(s) of controller you are using?
Do I understand correctly that the game runs without any issues when using a mouse and keyboard, and that the problem only occurs after plugging in the controller and attempting to switch to it in the game settings?
Could you also let me know whether you are connecting the controller before launching the game or after the game is already running?
Lastly, please share a log file from any game session where this problem occurred, so we can investigate it further.
You can access your log files by typing %appdata% into your Windows search bar and you will be redirected to the hidden Roaming folder. After that just follow: \Roaming\SpaceEngineers.
