Grid Disappearing after disconnecting via Merge Blocks
Not a Bug
I've been trying to create a factory floor in my world, and I made a large grid blueprint of a single merge block and oxygen tank. Once welded, if I deactivate one or both of the merge blocks, the merge block and oxygen tank will just vanish. It is very annoying! I have heard about workarounds related to block ownership, but I don't know much about that. Thank you in advance.

Okay I figured out that if the grid isn't powered, it will disappear. I still do not know if this is a bug though.

I am not from Keen.
Unpowered grids will disappear and its been this way for years. Without it various floating debris will stick around forever and eventually the game performance goes low.

Hello Landon,
Thank you for reaching our forum with this, and thank you even more for your comment.
Yes, this behavior is working correctly and as expected. As ShadedMJ mentioned, unpowered grids (most often debris, floating objects, etc.) will be removed from the world after some time.
The best way to prevent this is by ensuring your grids are always powered and have enough resources.
However, if you would like to change how this system behaves, you are more than welcome to do so. You can view and modify these settings in the Admin menu (Alt + F10) by selecting the Trash Removal tab from the dropdown menu.
Since this is working as intended, I will now close this thread.
Thank you for your understanding.
Kind regards,
